WPRZ is pleased to be a Ministry Partner with Hope Christian Fellowship’s 2011 Youth Drama Camp’s production of Willy Wonka! Two shows will be presented at Highland School on Friday, July 29. Showtimes are 6:10 pm and 8:10 pm. Tickets are free but a love offering will be taken and proceeds will go to CareNet Pregnancy Resource Centers of Warrenton, Manassas and Woodbridge. CareNet is a life-saving, life-changing ministry interceding for the unborn, caring for the mothers that carry them, and ministering healing to those in crisis pregnancies and those in need of healing from abortion. WPRZ-FM will be at CulpeperFest on Thursday, June 2nd from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM! This great event is a 30-year tradition in Culpeper and draws over 1500 people! It’s being held at Germanna’s Daniel Technology Center located on Technology Way off of Route 3 in Culpeper. This great community event is put on by the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce and WPRZ-FM is pleased to be one of the sponsors! There’s going to be two moon bounces for the kids and “Scoop” from Bruster’s Ice Cream will be there to entertain! You can even go on a carriage ride with the Clydesdale horses! Volunteers will be serving up lots of great food including barbeque, beef brisket, chicken, Italian sausage, ice cream and more… all included in your ticket price! Tickets are $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids, and kid’s under three are free. Tickets are only available in advance. WPRZ is pleased to announce that “Turning Point” with David Jeremiah now airs Monday through Friday afternoons at 12 Noon! This new time is in addition to their 12:30 AM and 5:30 AM airings. We hope you’ll spend a good half hour at lunchtime listening to this great in depth Bible Study!
From June 2nd through July 3rd, Dr. Jeremiah will be teaching on the “Signs of the Second Coming”! We encourage everyone to listen to what we know will be a fascinating study and we’ll find out exactly what the Bible has to say about the end times. Some of the topics include “What Jesus Said About His Return”, “The Sheep and the Goats”, and “Tribulation Preachers”. We encourage you to order this Bible Study so you can make notes and follow along with Dr. Jeremiah. And, please, when you contact “Turning Point” or any of the great Bible Teaching Programs you hear on the station, please be sure to tell them you are listening on WPRZ-FM!!!

Charlie has been very busy putting this all together and it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun for everyone! The KTL Praise-a-Thon is intended to give kids, teens and kidults (adults who are kids at heart) an opportunity to help WPRZ. Participants have the opportunity to show their support of WPRZ by helping to raise funds in support of WPRZ’s programs for kids including Kid’s Time Live! And by doing that, “Praise-a-Thoners” can earn an amazing abundance of great prizes! Some of the prizes to be won include 4 tickets to Sight and Sound in Pennsylvania, 4 tickets to Luray Caverns, “The Complete Set of National Geographic Magazines from 1888 to Present” on DVD, a variety of video games including “Left Behind”, “Charlie Church Mouse,” “Keys to the Kingdom,” and more from LB Games and Inspired Media Entertainment. We are really excited about our upcoming event to help raise the necessary funds to keep WPRZ on the air!! It should be a fun time and we are combining it with a Silent Auction where listeners can get some great bargains all donated by local businesses!! We'll be sharing about the history of WPRZ and asking our wonderful listeners to make a pledge to help us reach out to our local communities with the life-changing truth of God's Word. WPRZ 88.1 FM’s Kid’s Time Gang will be at the “We The People – An American Event" on Saturday, July 3rd from 1 to 9 pm! The event will be at Richie Lake Pavilion, 5177 Richie Road in Bealeton and will include a fireworks display. Our tent will be near the stage so please bring the kids by for some fun games and prizes!! There will be pony rides, a moon bounce, tethered hot air balloon rides, live music and much more!
