On Thursday and Friday, the antennas and cable were installed. This was a major accomplishment! It took two guys most of Thursday to get the antennas up and installed in the proper positions and then on Friday, the cable was installed up the tower to the antennas.

Today was a huge day for WPRZ FM! The actual physical construction of the station began!! Today Smith-Midland brought the concrete building up to the tower site in 6 pieces on a truck that had to be helped up the steep road by a bulldozer! Why? The concrete building weighed 25,000 pounds! The building had to be constructed of concrete because of ice that may fall from the 300 foot tower in the winter months. Anything other than concrete wouldn’t hold up under those circumstances. Each of the pieces was carefully lifted off the truck by a big crane and carefully placed into position. It was quite a sight to see. Mark and his crew did a fantastic job!!!
